The J&B Met on Saturday 30 January will once again potentially reach millions of households around the world as a CNN International team is travelling to film the event for the third year running.

This will be the 39th renewal of the longest-standing sports sponsorship in the country, although the race dates back to 1876.

The CNN International team’s 2016 J&B Met review programme will be aired on their horseracing programme, “The Winning Post”.

The new host for the programme is acclaimed sports journalist and former professional pentathlon athlete Aly Vance (nee Rowell). In her journalistic career to date she has interviewed such world-renowned sports stars as Tour De France-winning cyclist Sir Bradley Wiggins, Formula One driver Jenson Button, Olympic gold medalist Sebastian Coe, England cricket captain Andrew Strauss and rugby World Cup-winning hero Jonny Wilkinson.

Vance’s experience in sports presenting and production includes expertise in horseracing, equestrian, triathlon and sailing.

She said: “I am thrilled to be joining CNN International’s ‘Winning Post’, a programme with an excellent and established reputation. I look forward to telling the stories and going behind the scenes at many of the world’s most prestigious race meetings.”
