Anton Shepherd of Beaumont Stud’s eight graduates going to the CTS Ready To Run Sale at Durbanville have all been prepared for the gallops by the Candice Bass-Robinson stable.

Shepherd mentioned three lots as being outstanding and Mark Bass confirmed: “My favourite is Jack The Jetsetter (Lot 60), a colt by Jackson from Colourful Jet, by Jet Master. He’s exceptional, a well-topped colt with the biggest action one could hope for and the jockeys love him.

“Lot 85 is She’s Cooking, by Judpot from a mare that’s also by Jet Master. She’s a big strong filly who’s doing her work well.
“Gimme Gimme Gimme is Lot 89, she is another exceptional specimen by Gimmethegreenlight. She’s from Kimagee (Royal Academy), representing a good Varsfontein family. She is well put together and moves really nicely.”

Bass also singled out a Flower Alley filly (Lot 65) as one that has caught his eye making steady progress.

Among the others, Shepherd pointed to the pedigree of Lot 62 Count Your Jacks and said: “This is a very interesting pedigree. The colt is by Jackson from a Cozzene mare and inbred to Cozzene. He was a little backward to begin with, but has blossomed recently.”
