Still Bay’s Favour Stud has gradually improved their broodmare band and they’ve enjoyed a number of competitive seasons on our racetracks, just recently having bred Princess Rebel, the winner of December’s Gr2 Southern Cross Stakes and a runner in Saturday’s Gr1 Cape Flying Championship.

Favour Stud has a nice mix of stallions represented in seven lots and Charlene Tucker provided comments:

Lot 27: “He’s a chestnut colt by Flower Alley who had a lot of growing to do when the inspectors saw him a few months ago, but he’s blossomed now. He’s developed into a nice, well-balanced colt and Kerry Jack, who scored him last year, came by recently and commented on his good progress.”

Lot 44: “She’s a lovely, well-grown filly by Twice Over and only the third foal of a mare by Rock of Gibraltar. She has plenty of quality down her female line, I’ve liked her since the day she was born!”

Lot 57: “A well-grown colt by Soft Falling Rain, he is a son of Gr1 SA Fillies Sprint winner Far De Vie who has so far produced a number of multiple winners. He’s a sprinting type with a good shoulder.”

Lot 79: “Here’s a filly by Futura, on the small side but well put-together and with a good length of rein. She looks like a sprinter, should get to the track early.”

Lot 97: “He is a colt by Querari, the second foal of National Emblem’s daughter Lielums. I don’t want to sound prejudiced, but I just love him, he’s my favourite. He’s a strong, well-boned colt with a good frame, he ticks all the boxes.”

Lot 192: “She’s a nice, racy looking filly with scope, by Visionaire from a young mare by Count Du Bois who has plenty of potential. From the family of Quest For Success and Quinlan.”

Lot 148: “An alert-looking What A Winter colt from a mare by Tale Of The Cat, and is another who looks like a sprinter. He’s athletic, should come early.”
