The recently retired super stallion, Silvano, will have a pair of two-year-olds sired at his home base, Maine Chance Farms, coming to the CTS Ready To Run and Mixed Sale next week.

Lot 107 is Arilena (Silvano x Air Pocket), a second foal from a Jet Master mare closely related to King’s Gambit and Lady Brompton.

“She’s a very nice, strong filly, representing the Silvano/Jet Master cross, same as Hawwaam,” said Tim Bootsma, Stud Manager.

Lot 123 is Dawn Mission, a Silvano colt from Dawn Chorus by Giant’s Causeway. “He’s nice and scopy, a very athletic type,” enthused Bootsma.

Lot 81 is the first foal of Quippi (Trippi), sired by Vercongetorix. She’s named Queen Of Shadows and Bootsma said: “A big filly for a first foal, she’s athletic with a nice depth of girth.”

Lastly, Lot 92, Sweet by Sycho, a daughter of Duke Of Marmalade and the Silvano mare Sugar Frosted, a winner over 1400m. “This is a nice cross, she’s a good-legged, athletic filly with substance.”

Bootsma said that potential buyers will be able to view the Maine Chance draft at Durbanville on Tuesday, 24 November.
