Breeder Hein Moller has 18 mares based on his new farm near The Glen in the Swellendam district, some 25km away from champion breeders Klawervlei. He is establishing a solid breeding operation and loves the industry.

Moller also owns shares in some of the Klawervlei stallions and he said: “I have learnt a lot from Klawervlei’s John Koster, we work quite closely together.”

Ten Einde offers a nice pair of fillies at CPYS.

Lot 111 is Le Luvia, a daughter of Soft Falling Rain and Mile High (Captain Al) whose first foal Missy J (Jay Peg) has already won a race and is expected to win again. “Mile High’s second foal by Judpot was not ready for the track but this SFR filly is nicely conformed and we’re expecting her to be a good runner, said Moller.

He is keen on Lot 220 Dad’s Catch, by Captain Of All from Westerns, by Western Winter, a proven mare who has produced five-time winner Ideal Winter and Derby contender Forafewdollarsmore from her first few foals, along with promising Western Dance, who won early. “We think the Captain Of All/Western Winter nick will produce a nice sprinter in this one, a yearling with scope.”
