Buyers and early talent scouts who have opened the online catalogue for the 2019 CTS Ready To Run Sale at Durbanville on Friday, 22 November are most excited. Their enthusiasm is shared by the vendors who will be sending their prized two-year-olds through the ring at this hugely popular auction.
The cornerstones of this sale, as always, is the awe-inspiring list of stallions represented in the pages of an unbelievably strong catalogue. They include the country’s top active sires from 2018/19 in Silvano (2 lots) Twice Over (10), VAR (4) and Gimmethegreenlight (13).
The sale also presents the very last opportunity to buy an offspring of the late super sire Captain Al, there are 2 catalogued (1 filly, 1 colt), while the sons and daughters of the recently deceased Dynasty are always in demand. He has two colts and a filly in the catalogue. Former Champion stallion Trippi, meanwhile, has a Quartet of two-year-olds coming to the auction.
Added to this is a strong representation of up and coming stallions, including last season’s champion freshman Captain Of All (3), runner-up Vercingetorix (5), Querari (12), Master Of My Fate and Coup de Grace (6 apiece), Flower Alley, Global View and Louis the King (5 apiece) and What a Winter and Oratorio (6).
