The CTS Farm Yearling Sale at Kenilworth on 19 June will open with bidding on Sorrento Stud’s Lot 1, a colt by Duke Of Marmalade from Fairyinthewind, by Count Du Bois, from the wonderful female line of Temple Grafin and Roman Wall, which goes back to Monyela and the Horse Chestnut family. Named Lord Milori, Sorrento’s Terry Andrews describes him as “a very nice, well-grown colt, a correct foal in what looks like a good mating.”

Next from Sorrento is Lot 28, the grey Venetian Moonlight, a filly by Lancaster Bomber from Moonlight Venice (Windrush), with speed and stamina in her pedigree. “This is a really nice, strong filly, from a good family,” said Andrews.

Lot 82 is an unnamed colt by Oratorio out of the black-type mare Bursary. “He is a nice colt, not the flashiest, but is one that will suit the right buyer.”

Lastly Lot 90, Mary Mancini, a daughter of Louis The King and the first foal of Chanukah, by Royal Air Force. “We raced her dam – a talented filly who won twice. It is a good winning family, Faithful Spirit is the second dam, and Mary Mancini is a nice-looking filly for the sale.”
