Thabani Nzimande, yearling manager at Summerhill Stud, has arrived in Cape Town with Summerhill’s six-strong draft for next week’s CTS April Yearling Sale. He gives his views on each, below:

Lot 49: Pomodoro filly

An athletic, quality filly; nicely balanced with an athletic quarter, ample depth, a nice classic shoulder and forearm. She has the scope to be a decent filly. Has the advantage of being grey!

Lot 92: Master Of My Fate colt

Smart, compact, close coupled individual. He has a decent hind leg, sprinter’s shoulder and forearm

and good depth through middle. He’s clean legged and has a busy, workmanlike walk on him

Lot 182: Captain Of All colt

Well-grown colt, a close coupled individual with a good hindleg on him. He is typical of his father in

as much as he has plenty of depth and good walker and has strong hind engine

Lot 253: Captain Of All colt

A well grown colt, scopey athletic sort with bit of a Captain Al head about him. He is good bodied and well balanced with solid hind leg, a nice sloping shoulder and well proportioned. He has a big elastic walk.

Lot 261: Captain Of All colt

Medium sized colt that covers ground, has good hind leg as you’d expect from Captain Al tribe, also

good depth through the middle and respectable shoulder and forearm.

Lot 201: Wylie Hall filly

Well grown filly, strong bodied, she is nicely balanced, she has a decent hind leg and a spring of rib, an attractive head and eye and she has a good walking stride.
