Two young mares by leading broodmare sire Captain Al, a mare by Dark Angel and a further eight weanling colts and fillies have been supplemented to the CTS Mare & Weanling Sale at Kenilworth on 24 June.

Lot 129 is the grey two-time winning mare Frosted Steel (Captain Al – Pepperdine by Trippi), who comes from the family of Captain In Command and Reconcile, and has been covered by Pomodoro. She will be presented by Klawervlei, acting as an agent.

Also from Klawervlei is Lot 130, Vodka Lime (Captain Al – Spirit Leader by Rakeen), who is a relation to Shoot The Booze and Lucky Find, and comes covered by Trippi.

The imported Lost In Love (IRE) is another grey by Dark Angel from Cover Girl, by Common Grounds with plenty of European black type in her female line. She has been covered by Captain Of All.

Evergreen Farm will be represented by eight weanlings, with two apiece by Potala Palace and Futura among them.

The Potala Palace filly (Lot 119) is a half-sister to the speedy G2 winner Basadi Faith from the potent National Colour family. The colt (Lot 125), is out of three-time winner Outlander, a half-sister to Graded performer Invidia.

Evergreen also brings a Futura colt (Lot 120) from Farzana (Nadeem), already the dam of four multiple winners and a Futura filly (Lot 124) out of the fast Miss Aphrodite, by Lecture.

Lot 121 is a bay colt by leading freshman Erupt. He’s out of Hollywoodstrip, by Tiger Hill, a half-brother to five-time winner Little Ballerina.

Flower Alley is represented in the Evergreen group by a chestnut filly bred from Honeycomb (A lot 122), by champion broodmare sire Fort Wood.

Lot 123 is a Legislate filly from Lindewa The Poet (Silvano). She comes from the prolific, black-type producing female line of former Broodmare of the Year, Loyal Linda.

Lot 126 is a filly by Oratorio, just the second foal of Sorceress, herself a daughter of Antonius Pius, who is enjoying success as a broodmare sire.

Lastly Lot 127, a filly by Pomodoro from Vanda, who is a winning full-sister to former champion sprinter, Link Man.
