A half-brother to Nocturnal Affair (SAF),who won races in four countries, is one of three choice lots offered by Sorrento Stud at the Cape Premier Yearling Sale on 20 and 21 January.

Lot 195 is Jumpin Jack Flash, by fast-on-the-up stallion Oratorio from Aretha, by Centenary, described by Sorrento’s Terry Andrews as “a big strapping horse like his half-brother.”

Nocturnal Affair won the Gr3 Cape Nursery and the Gr3 Beyerly Turk for trainer Greg Ennion before being exported, won handicaps in Dubai, Ireland and England and was as game a customer as they came.

Lot 208 is another colt by Oratorio named Etched in Blue, whose dam Blue Train is a half-sister to Champagne Stakes winner State Blue. “He’s eye-catching, though not as big as our other Oratorio colt,” noted Andrews.

Sorrento’s Lot 41 is a filly by What a Winter from Karma, named Software. “She’s a nice, correct filly whose half-sister has won again since the catalogue was printed. She’s well worth a look at,” said Andrews.
