Two unraced three-year-olds, Master Of Change and Tsitsikamma Pearl, both ready to be entered for their respective first runs, will be auctioned off at Thursday’s dispersal sale of thoroughbreds owned by the estate of the late Jumat Cola.

Andrew Fortune, representing his trainer wife, Ashley, said: “This pair of three-year-olds was taken out of work for a while after Mr Cola’s passing and we’ve missed work due to rain. But they are back in full training and doing well. They are sound, always a good factor to consider, and showing some pace. Both have winning ability.”

Master Of Change is a gelding by Master Of My Fate from a two-time winning Captain Al mare. He comes from the close family of Bit On The Side. Tsitsikamma Pearl is a filly by Where’s That Tiger out of Asiatic Pearl, by Tiger Ridge. She’s a half-sister to Gr1 Mercury Sprint winner, Pearl Of Asia.

The sale, to be conducted by Cape Thoroughbred Sales (CTS) will take place after the last race at the Vaal meeting and will also feature the selling of a 33% share of Graded performer Bard Of Avon; a Maiden gelding Run For The Sun, by Pomodoro; and a two-year-old Rafeef colt who has been prepared for racing at Soetendal Estate.
