Noble Tune (USA), the only son of the late, great American stallion Unbridled’s Song at stud in South Africa, will have a single representative at the 2018 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.

Noble Tune, who stands at Rathmor Stud in KZN, sired Lot 197, Streets Of Fire, a filly from three-time winning stayer Avenue Of Gold, by Albert Hall, raised at Ascot Stud.

Dr Ashley Parker of Ascot Stud said of Streets Of Fire: “She’s a beautiful filly from a half-sister to Gr1 Guineas winner Elusive Gold, who was exported to Hong Kong. She comes from one of our best families.”

Streets Of Fire, whose damline reflects such illustrious names as Enchanted Garden, Captive Prince and Captain Ekels, is described as “a big strong filly, a great walker who scored 9 out of 10 from the yearling inspectors.”

Parker noted: “We have two other fillies and a colt on sale at CPYS. The fillies (Lots 73 and 193) are by Captain Al and Dynasty respectively and the colt (Lot 3) is by Pomodoro. They’re all high-class specimens who scored 9, the Dynasty got 9 ½ from the selection panel.

“We’re only sending our best yearlings to this sale. The quality is fantastic, one can only compete with top class yearlings or you will get hammered in the auction ring!”
