John Everett of Narrow Creek Stud reckons he has a “very special” filly in his four-pronged draft for this weekend’s Cape Premier Yearling Sale.

Lot 154 is Gypsy Woman (photo), by imported stallion Flower Alley from a mare by Tiger Ridge who herself is a half-sister to high-class stakes performers St Tropez and Sun Screen.

“I am happy with my consignment and she is the best of them, she is outstanding,” said Everett.

Lot 165 is a What A Winter filly from Upity Ann. She is a good looking chestnut and Everett said: “She’s a full-sister to Dutch Philip, who is one of the leading three-year-olds this year and high up on the CTS Log. She is strong, racy.”

Lot 168 is a Querari colt from a VAR mare, said to be very well put together and well grown. Lot 153 is a coly by Duke Of Marmalade and Everett said: “He’s coarse, big and tough like many other Duke Of Marmalade progeny. He is a nice prospect.”
