Seasoned breeder Jan Mantel is doing very well at Millstream Stud near Robertson, and he is chuffed with his four lots to go under the hammer at the CTS April Sale.
Mantel brings two yearling colts by Time Thief (AUS) and said that they are “two peas in a pod, I think the Redoute’s Choice influence has come through. They are both strong, strapping horses who look like sprinter-milers.”
Lot 185 is by Time Thief from Servilla, whose five wins included a Listed race.
Lot 235 is by Time Thief from Yellow Card (Trippi), from a damline mixed with pace and stamina.
Lot 184 is a “very racy” daughter of prolific sire Great Britain and Scarletina, by Second Empire.
Lot 284 is an Elusive Fort filly from Empress Of War, a “flashy, eye-catching second foal” from the family of Listed winner Kal Sufi and Gr1-placed Kalami. The first foal, by Master Of My Fate, is highly thought of by trainer Glen Kotzen.
