Beaumont Stud’s Anton Shepherd traditionally prefers to let his farm’s graduates do their talking on the racetrack, but he was less reserved than normal when speaking of his 2020 CTS Ready To Run consignment.
Shepherd regards his entire 13-strong draft as outstanding and highlighted a number of them with comments, as below, in Lot order:
Lot 10: The United States filly x Princess Lily “A smart, grey The United States filly out of the Lily family – grey Lilly family, big, pretty and did I say grey? Say no more!
Lot 54: Silvano colt x Gettna “A classic horse, a ¾ brother to exported VDJ runner-up Al Sahem and Gr1 performer Al Mutawakel. His brother, Good Time Guy won his second start by 3, odds on. A big scopy Silvano, they’re the ones you want!
Lot 76: Jackson colt x Pearl Hostess
“He’s the only colt sibling to a group 1 winner in the catalogue. From a prolific black-type producing mare by Elliodor, a granddaughter of Party Time. It doesn’t get better than that. He’s a smart, high quality colt who will mature into a classic horse.”
Lot 146: What a Winter colt x Katie Star
“An extremely powerful, good-moving colt. He’s a half-brother to Gr2 Merchants winner, Varikate, and will be very quick.”
Lot 157: Master of my Fate filly x Luna de Victoria “Her dam is a feature race-winning sister to stallion Act of War. A classy filly full of quality.”
Lot 165: Futura filly x Money Can’t Buy Me Love “A big scopy and beautiful filly from a black-type mare who has produced two stakes winners (and hopefully a G1 winner on Saturday (Youcanthurrylove). Anybody would love to own her for both racing and breeding. She’s the Real Deal!
