Bloodstock consultant Gabi Soma from MGAS pin-hooked two colts at CTS Sales earlier this year and he is very happy with their progress, as reported by Justin Snaith’s stable and Paarl Diamant Estate, who have taken care of them, respectively, with a view to the CTS Ready To Run and Mixed Sale on 29 November.

Lot 44 is a Querari colt from an Al Mufti mare and Soma said: “To my mind, he was the nicest colt at CPYS in January. I paid R300,000 for him and I’m happy to race him myself, but he’s a lovely horse and could well find a good buyer.

Justin Snaith, who pre-trained this unnamed colt, said: “He’s a smart colt with a fluent action and has been a gentleman so far. He has handled his work beautifully.”

At Paarl Diamant, Lot 30, a Global View colt from Val de Vie (Goldmark) has also been coming along well. He’s from the close family of Trademark and Super Brand and Paarl Diamant’s Monique Schabort reported: “ He’s a quality colt with a good shoulder. He’s tall and scopy with a good action. He just keeps on impressing us every time he goes for a gallop.
