Evergreen Farm of the Klein Drakenstein region in Paarl will be offering three unnamed yearlings by Tapit’s son Coup De Grace at the Cape Premier Yearling Sale next week.
Evergreen’s Inel Bekker commented: “Coup De Grace’s offspring are really beautiful specimens, I wish we’d seen more of them on the racetrack so far. I like them a lot.”
First up for the stud is Lot 36, a first foal (filly) by Coup De Grace from Listed-placed Morning Light, by Dynasty. “She’s strong, impressive for a first foal and she’s a good walker,” said Bekker.
Lot 194 is another filly, this one by Coup De Grace from Empress Of Oz (Sri Pekan) and Bekker said: “She is out of prolific mare who produced the seven-timer winner Lazer Star, so the blood is well proven, it’s a purple family. She’s athletic and well-balanced, she walks like a panther.”
The third lot is a colt (Lot 231), the result of Coup De Grace’s visit to It’s Complicated (VAR), the first foal of a mare who won over 1200m and hails from a super top-level family (Whiteline Fever, Jay Peg, Leopard Strike, etc.)
“The colt is strong with correct legs and a nice top line, also impressive for a first foal.”
